NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Sara Schinker of Augustana women's soccer has been named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week for defense, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Schinker collected a career-best 12 saves in consecutive games last week and boasted a save percentage of .960 across the two contests. She earned a shutout in the team's scoreless tie with Wartburg on Wednesday before fending off 12 of 13 shots on goal against Carroll on Saturday.

Schinker currently leads the CCIW in both total saves and goals against average.
