CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 26 when they visit the Coe Kohawks for a non-conference matchup.

Augie currently sits at 0-5-2 on the season and is coming off a loss in their CCIW opener at North Park on Saturday, falling by a score of 3-0. The two teams played without a score for the first 30 minutes of action, with the Augie defense holding off continuous pressure throughout the first half. North Park got on the board in the 32nd minute with a score and held a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime. Ben Statz had the lone shot attempt for Augustana in the opening frame.

Augustana saw more opportunities on offense in the second half, posting three shot attempts while holding North Park to three fewer than what they had in the first. Augie attempted two strikes at the net within the opening 20 minutes, but neither could connect as the game remained at its one-goal margin. The home team added onto to their lead in the 72nd minute before notching a breakaway in the final seconds to complete the 3-0 victory.

Rayane Haidi led Augustana in shots with two, while Benjamin Samuelson and Ignacio Alberola combined for three saves in net.

Coe enters Tuesday with a 4-2-2 overall record and is currently riding a four-game unbeaten streak. The team did see their three-match winning streak come to an end recently, earning a 0-0 draw with Knox last time out. Prior to that, the Kohawks saw three wins in a row all by two goals. All but one of Coe's contests this season have been on their home field, sporting a 4-1-2 record in those games.

The Vikings are 20-3-1 all-time against the Kohawks, with the lone tie coming last season in Rock Island. The Vikings have won three game in a row in Cedar Rapids dating back to 2017.
