NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Tim Swaney of Augustana football has been named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week for defense, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Swaney was the team leader in tackles on Saturday in the Vikings' 74-6 win over Elmhurst, racking up nine total tackles, five of which were solo. He also caused one fumble that was returned back for a touchdown and had two tackles for loss to go with one pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.

Augie held the Bluejays to just 157 yards of total offense.
