ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings softball team will welcome a pair of CCIW foes on April 27-28 as they round out their home schedule with doubleheaders against the North Park Vikings and Wheaton Thunder.

Augustana currently sits 17-15 overall and 6-4 in the CCIW. The team is coming off their second sweep in conference play, defeating the Carroll Pioneers in consecutive games by scores of 12-4 and 8-0. The Vikings belted five home runs across the two-game span, including two in game two from Nadia Ranieri, who was selected as the team's CCIW Hitter of the Week. Claudia Buchholz, Morgan Bielfeldt, and Ashlyn Mathers all hit one over the fence in the offensive explosion, with Mathers' in game one proving to be the walk-off homer as the Vikings won by run rule.

On Friday, the Vikings will take on North Park in a rescheduled series. North Park enters with a 15-18-1 overall record and 7-5 mark in the CCIW. The team recently split a road doubleheader at Carthage their last time out. North Park is an even 7-7 in their last 14 contests, also splitting a doubleheader with Elmhurst prior to their meeting with Carthage. The Vikings are 7-5 on the road this season. Augustana is 51-13 all-time against their Viking counterpart, splitting their doubleheader last season in Chicago. Augie has won three of the last four meetings and eight straight at home dating back to 2014. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 3 p.m.

On Saturday, the Vikings will welcome in the Wheaton Thunder for Senior Day and their final home games of the year. The Thunder currently sit 6-25 on the year and 1-12 in the CCIW. Wheaton will be looking to snap a 12-game losing skid, with their last win coming April 6 over North Central. The Thunder fell in a doubleheader to Elmhurst their last time out, dropping both contests by a combined three runs. Augustana leads the all-time series 44-25, but fell twice last season to Wheaton on the road. Augie has won the last three meetings at home against the Thunder.

Start time for game one is scheduled for 1 p.m., with the Senior Day recognition to take place following the conclusion.
