MOLINE, Ill. – The Augustana Vikings baseball team remains home on Tuesday for a non-conference battle against the Eureka Red Devils.

The Vikings hold a 26-6 record, 11-2 in conference, and are coming off a three-game sweep of Millikin at home from April 22-23. The series' final game on Sunday resulted in a 7-6 walk-off Senior Day victory. The Big Blue nabbed a first-inning run before Augie leveled the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the second. The Vikings took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning after a scoreless third, but an immediate response in the top of the fifth from Millikin tied the game for a second time at 4-4. The Big Blue snapped the tie in the top of the eighth inning with a score, adding an additional run in the ninth to take a 6-4 advantage entering a must-score bottom of the ninth for Augustana. The rally began with the Vikings putting two on due to a dropped third strike and a Matt Ozanic single. Fresh off a seven-RBI performance on Saturday, Chase Maifield mashed a run-producing single to trim the deficit to one. In the ensuing at-bat, Alec McGinnis ended the game with a two-run single down the right field line, scoring both Kyle Campbell and Michael Gattuso to secure the team's second walk-off win of the series.

Addison Southwick claimed his fourth win of the season on the mound after pitching out of a jam in the top of the ninth. Augie recorded nine hits as a team, led by Ozanic with three.

Eureka possesses a 9-21 overall record,  halting an 11-game skid this past weekend after claiming a series sweep of Blackburn from April 22-23. In the final game of the series, Eureka seized an 8-3 Senior Day victory. The Red Devils secured a 3-0 lead through the top of the third inning and increased that advantage to 5-3 through the sixth. Eureka added three runs in the top of the eighth to put the game at its 8-3 final. Nick Rulevish paced the Red Devils' offense with three hits and three runs scored.

Augustana leads Eureka in the all-time series by a 9-2 record, with Tuesday's contest marking the first meeting between the two programs in over a decade.

The non-conference battle kicks off at 6:00 p.m. from Swanson Stadium. Stream link can be found here.
