NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Elena Bechard of Augustana women's lacrosse has been named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week for offense, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

The freshman from Minooka, Ill. scored nine goals in the team's 18-16 home win over Augsburg on Sunday, including two in the final four minutes of action to help the team pull away from a one-goal margin. The nine goals scored is the most in a single game since the 2012 season and the third-most ever in Augie women's lacrosse history. Bechard's nine goals came on 17 shot attempts, 14 of which were on target, and she ended the contest with seven ground balls, two draw controls, and one caused turnover.
