GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings softball team will be back in action on Wednesday, March 29 when they visit the Greenville Panthers for a non-conference doubleheader.

Augustana currently sits at 7-7 overall on the season after splitting two games with the Hanover Panthers on Sunday. The Vikings fell 5-2 in the opener before knocking off the home team 7-1 in the finale. Augie struck first in the second prior to breaking the game open with a three-spot in the fourth. Augustana notched runs in the final three innings. Nadia Ranieri earned the win on the mound, allowing just four hits and striking out 11 in her complete-game effort. Four different Vikings tallied more than one hit in the win, led by three from Morgan Bielfeldt. The team finished with 12 in the contest.

Greenville enters Wednesday also sporting a .500 record, sitting at 5-5 on the year. The Panthers have lost four straight games after beginning the season 5-1, dropping a pair of road doubleheaders to Central and Simpson in their most recent contests. Two of their four losses during the skid have come by way of a 4-3 score, while the other two own a combined margin of defeat of 17 runs.

Augustana holds a 6-2 all-time record over Greenville. Start time for game one of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m.
