LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team hits the road for a non-conference battle against the Spalding Golden Eagles on Tuesday, March 28.

Augie has a 3-3 record, most recently losing 16-6 at home to the Marian Sabres on Saturday to cap a five-game home stand. The Vikings fell behind early, but a Cassidy Petrie goal at 11:49 knotted the game at 1-1. After the Sabres scored four consecutive goals, Augie leveled the game at 5-5 with four scores of their own. Marian scored goals on both sides of the half to go up by two before Claire Kim trimmed the deficit to one at 10:47 in the third. From there, the Sabres scored nine-straight goals to secure the 16-6 road win.

Petrie and Elena Bechard led the Vikings with two goals, while Kim and Madison Langewisch each added one. Augie caused 12 turnovers, paced by Narita Lambert with three, while also securing 26 ground balls as a team, with Kyla Painter securing eight for a season-high.

Spalding enters Tuesday's matchup with an 0-7 record, losing their most recent matchup on the road against Waynesburg by a 19-2 score. The Golden Eagles did not score in the first half but nabbed two goals in the third period before the Yellow Jackets piled on to reach the 17-point differential.
