MOLINE, Ill. --The Augustana Vikings baseball team will host the Dominican Stars in a non-conference matchup on Sunday, March 19.

The Vikings possess an 11-2 record, extending their winning streak to 10 with a 6-1 victory over the Monmouth Fighting Scots on Wednesday. The game remained scoreless until the Vikings broke through with a pair of RBI doubles in the fourth inning to grab a two-run advantage. Augie added a run in the fifth inning before scoring three more runs in the sixth on a wild pitch and a two-run double from Brett Benedetti. The Fighting Scots tacked on their lone run in the ninth, but could not mount the comeback.

Bryce Luckey earned the win after tossing five complete innings and recording six strikeouts. Augie nabbed seven hits, with Dymitri Kanellakis notching two. Benedetti recorded a team-best two RBI in the win.

Dominican holds a 6-5 record entering Sunday, with their most recent game action ending a four-game win streak with a 6-2 loss to Saint Vincent. The two sides battled through three scoreless innings, but a four-run Bearcat eruption in the fourth proved too much for the Stars. Grayson Downing led the Dominican bats with a two-hit outing.

Augustana and Dominican have battled just once in the all-time series, with their lone meeting resulting in a 15-5 win for the Vikings in Florida on March 4, 2005.

The action begins at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday from Swanson Stadium. The game will be streamed here.
