PLYMOUTH, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team recorded their second road victory in as many days on Friday, defeating the Lakeland Muskies in consecutive sets by a score of 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

The Vikings jumped to an early 7-2 lead in the opening set, setting the tone for the match early. The Muskies responded with three straight points before Augie broke away midway through the frame on a 6-2 run to double Lakeland's score. The two teams traded service wins, with Augie maintaining their lead through the end of the frame. The Vikings posted 12 kills out of 25 attempts on their way to a 25-18 win.

Lakeland took an early lead in the second game, outscoring Augustana 7-5 to open. The Vikings answered with a seven-point surge to claim a 12-7 advantage. The Muskies kept it close cutting the deficit to as little as three points, but could not retake the lead as Augie held on for a 25-20 victory.

Augie cruised to a third set triumph, securing the lead for good after the Muskies started up by a 2-1 score. Midway through the frame, the Vikings initiated a 9-1 run to take firm control, winning 25-17 to take the set and match.
