ELMHURST, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's basketball will look to keep their postseason hopes alive on Wednesday, February 15 when they visit the Elmhurst Bluejays for their final regular season road game of the season.

Augie enters with a 7-16 overall record and 5-9 mark in the CCIW. The team was recently defeated by the Carroll Pioneers on the road on Saturday as the home team used a barrage of three-pointers to pull away from the Vikings in the second half. Three Vikings finished in double figures, led by Tyler Knuth's 18-point effort. Matt Hawkins added 16 points, while Chase Larsen had 13 points and eight rebounds. Augustana currently sit 1.5 games behind North Central for the sixth and final CCIW Tournament qualifying spot. The Vikings also trail both Elmhurst and Illinois Wesleyan by two games for places four and five in the CCIW. Augustana has wins over all three teams this season.

The Bluejays come into Wednesday with a 15-8 record and 7-7 mark in conference. Elmhurst dropped a dramatic double overtime game to North Park on Saturday, enduring a nearly two-hour delay in the opening seconds over the second overtime due to a shattered backboard. North Park held on for the three-point win to hand the Bluejays their second straight defeat.

Augustana was victorious is the teams' earlier-season matchup, an 86-67 win for the Vikings. Four different players for Augustana reached double digits in scoring in the win, led by 19 from Anthony Cooper, who hit 6-7 shots and 5-6 from behind the arc. The Vikings out-scored the Bluejays by 19 in the second half after being tied at halftime. Wednesday will be the 150th meeting all-time between the two programs, with Augustana holding a 99-50 record in the series.

Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
