NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's lacrosse team has been selected sixth in the CCIW preseason coaches poll, the conference announced on Friday.
The Vikings are coming off of a 9-6 season in 2022, their most wins in a campaign since the 2016 slate. Augustana saw much of their success on the road last season, posting a 6-3 record away from home, including a victory over eventual CCIW Tournament champion North Central in Naperville.
Augustana earned 11 points in the preseason poll, eight behind Elmhurst and five ahead of Carroll.

The Vikings will officially open their season next Saturday, February 18 at home versus Calvin. The team will host Benedictine on Saturday, February 11 in a scrimmage at Thorson-Lucken Field.
