DECATUR, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's soccer will take their 10-game unbeaten streak on the road when they face the MIllikin Big Blue in a CCIW contest on Saturday, October 7.

Augie's unbeaten streak reached double figures after picking up a 1-0 win over Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, their first victory over the Titans since 2018. Liesl Whitener notched her 12th of goal of the season sixth game-winning score in the first half, which proved to be the difference in the team's eighth shutout victory of the season. Janey Castoe earned the win in net after collecting six saves. The Vikings' record currently sits at 9-1-2 on the season, already matching last year's win total.

Millikin enters Saturday with a 5-4-1 overall record and a 1-1-1 mark in CCIW action. The Big Blue are coming off a scoreless tie with North Park in their last contest, making it two in a row without a loss after knocking off Illinois Wesleyan by a score of 2-0. Millikin is 4-1 on their home field this season, with the lone defeat coming in a 2-1 loss to Carroll.

The Vikings have won 25 of the 27 all-time meetings against the Big Blue, with the other two games resulting in a Millikin win and a draw. Millikin earned its first-ever victory against Augie last season in Rock Island, a 2-1 final score.
