CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's volleyball team will be back in action on Friday, October 20 when they head to the Windy City to take on the North Park Vikings in a key CCIW match.
Augustana currently sits at 17-4, 3-2 in the CCIW, on the year and is riding a seven-match winning streak, recently wrapping up a 3-0 stay at the Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament in Naperville, Ill. The Vikings did not lose a set over the weekend, defeating St. Mary's (Minn.), Crown, and Trine all in consecutive games. Three members of the team--

Syd Krueger, and
Amelie Baehr-Ross-- were named to the All-Tournament Team, while both Krueger and Baehr-Ross were later named CCIW Student-Athletes of the Week. The Vikings have not lost a match since September 27 and are 2-0 in the CCIW since then, defeating both Carthage and Elmhurst.
North Park enters Friday ranked No. 18 in the latest AVCA DIII poll. The team is currently in the midst of two straight losses, both coming against top 10 teams last weekend in New York. The Vikings are 18-4 on the year and a perfect 5-0 in conference play. Their losses over the weekend snapped a 12-match winning streak dating back to September 5. North Park is 6-1 on its home court this season, with the only loss coming to No. 12 Wash U.
Augie is 44-5 all-time against North Park, recently stopping a two-match skid last season with a 3-0 sweep at home.
