WHEATON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team will continue on the road for a conference contest against the Wheaton Thunder on Wednesday, October 18.

The Vikings head into this competition with an overall record of 0-11-2 conference record and 0-5 in conference play. The team is coming back from a 3-0 loss over the weekend against the Grinnell Pioneers, who took the lead early in the fifth minute of the first half.

Augustana put up a fight with numerous shots on goal during the entirety of the game, but with less than 10 minutes left in the second half, Grinnell increased their score by two to push the final score of the matchup to 3-0.

The Wheaton Thunder sit with an overall record of 9-4-1 and a conference record of 4-0-1. Wheaton came out with a win at Carthage this past weekend with a score of 3-2, increasing their winning streak to three.

The Vikings hold a 2-38-5 all-time record against the Thunder and lost the previous matchup in 2022 by a final score of 3-1 in Rock Island.

Start time Wednesday is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wheaton.
