ELMHURST, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's soccer team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 11 when they travel to take on the Elmhurst Bluejays in a CCIW match.

Augie is in the midst of an 11-game unbeaten streak and is 9-1-3 on the season. The team is coming off of a scoreless draw with Millikin on Saturday to move their conference record to 2-0-2. Millikin saw multiple scoring opportunities in the first half on their way to a 7-1 advantage in the shots category, but could not find the back of the net as Janey Castoe collected six saves through the first 45 minutes of action. Ximena Osorio-Rodriguez got the Vikings on the board with shots, launching one right be for the half that sailed off target. The two teams remained deadlocked after one half of play.

Another 7-1 shot disparity for the Big Blue followed in the second half, with three more looks at the net stopped by Castoe. Jordyn Swanson sent the Vikings' lone shot attempt on target in the 82nd minute, but it was saved by the Millikin keeper. The Augie defense stood tall the rest of the way to notch the draw.

Castoe earned the team's 10th shutout of the season and was named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for the second time this year.

The Bluejays enter Wednesday with a 4-5-3 overall record and 0-3-1 mark in the CCIW. Elmhurst is winless since September 20, having seen three losses and two draws since then. The Bluejays were defeated in their most recent outing on Saturday, falling to Wheaton at home by a score of 2-0. Elmhurst is 2-2-2 at home this year.

The Vikings are 19-6-1 all-time vs. the Bluejays and have won five straight in the series. Augie won last year's meeting at home by a score of 3-0.
