ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team will return home on Wednesday, October 11 to host the Elmhurst Bluejays at Thorson-Lucken Field.

Augie enters Wednesday with an 0-9-2 overall record, recently falling to the Millikin Big Blue on Saturday by a score of 6-0. Millikin notched four first-half goals to take the early advantage before adding two more scores in the second. The Vikings saw a couple of opportunities on offense through 45 minutes of action, but shot attempts from Derek Dedume and Ben Statz were off target.

In the second, the Vikings saw two more shots on the Millikin side, one more from Statz and another from Kassim Elaouni, but neither could connect as the Big Blue wrapped up the 6-0 victory. Benjamin Samuelson and Ignacio Alberola combined for five saves for Augie.

Elmhurst currently sits with a 2-8-2 overall record and 1-3 mark in the CCIW. The Bluejays have dropped two straight since defeating Carroll, falling to North Park and Wheaton in their last two outings. A total of nine of the 12 contests this season for Elmhurst have come on the road, where they sport a 1-7-1 record.

The Vikings are 4-13-2 all-time against the Bluejays. Elmhurst won last season's meeting by a score of 3-1.
