KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augustana men's soccer team will travel to face the Carthage Firebirds on Saturday at Art Keller Field for their second conference match of the season. 

The Vikings were defeated by Monmouth on Wednesday, dropping 0-7-1 on the season. Augie lost the low-scoring contest 1-0, with 10 fouls derailing early offensive momentum. Augie sent 10 shots in the direction of the Fighting Scots, but none connected with the back of the net. Goalkeeper Benjamin Samuelson recorded five saves in the contest after coming off a career-best 18 against No. 5 North Park. 

Carthage possesses a 4-4-1 overall record entering Saturday and is coming off back-to-back conference wins, taking down CCIW foes Illinois-Wesleyan and Carroll. They sealed their most-recent match against Carroll in minute 85, coming away with a 3-2 victory.

Augustana is 11-13-2 all-time record against Carthage, with their last meeting resulting in a 5-1 road loss.
