The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team bounced back from losses in their first two games with four wins in their next five, which included their first three-game winning streak since 2018 during that span. In each of the four victories, the Vikings scored at least 12 goals in each of the contests and secured two wins of eight goals or more. Their largest margin of victory of the season came at the tail-end of the winning streak, defeating Beloit at home by a final of 16-4. Augustana entered conference play with a 4-4 record.
 
Margaret Cecilio was named the team's offensive MVP for the 2022 season after tallying 26 goals and 24 assists for a total of 50 points. Her 26 scores were good for third best on the team and the 24 assists was a team-high. Kate Hettiger led the way with 30 goals, followed by Cassidy Petrie's 27. 

Hannah Collins was named the team's defensive MVP after stepping into the goalie position for a majority of the season. Collins led the Vikings with 55 saves and had two wins in net. 

Augie's best offensive performance came in their second-to-last game of the season, a 20-12 conference road win over the Elmhurst Bluejays. Four different Vikings grabbed three or more goals in the win, led by five apiece from Cecilio and Hettiger.

In Augustana's five wins this season, they outscored opponents 78-43. The Vikings connected on six woman-up goals in 2022, while allowing just five to their opponents combined all season.

Hettiger was named this year's recipient of the RESPECT Award and also a winner of the Merle Chapman Leadership Award, both granted by the CCIW.
