KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings women's water polo team will get another look at familiar foes this upcoming weekend as they head to Carthage for four CWPA contests. All four matchups will be against teams the Vikings have faced in their previous four outings.

On Saturday, April 9, Augie begins with a matchup against the Wittenberg Tigers at 12:30 p.m. The Vikings were at the Wittenberg Tournament two weekends ago where they finished 2-1, which included a 15-11 victory over the Tigers. Wittenberg currently sits at 6-14 overall and are ranked No. 4 in the CWPA DIII top five poll. The Tigers have lost three in a row, a skid that began with their loss to the Vikings on March 27. In their most recent outing, Wittenberg fell to McKendree at home by a score of 21-6.

The Vikings close out Saturday's slate at 7:00 p.m. versus the Macalester Scots. Augie defeated Macalester at the Wittenberg Tournament on March 26 by a score of 17-5, which is the Vikings' largest margin of victory this season. The Scots sit ranked third, 12 points behind Augustana, in the latest CWPA top five poll. The team currently sits 2-9 on the season after being defeated by Austin in their last contest by a score of 17-4.

On Sunday, Augie will go up against the No. 6 ranked Austin Roos in a battle of national top ten teams. The Roos are No. 1 in the CWPA DIII top five poll, a place where they have sat since the preseason. Austin enters the weekend with a 6-7 record and posted a perfect 4-0 mark at the Wittenberg Tournament in late March. In their most recent game, the Roos fell to Brown at home by a score of 16-6. Austin defeated Augustana back on March 27 with a final of 12-7.

Augustana closes their stay in Kenosha with a game against the host school Carthage at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Firebirds are 0-13 on the year and fell to the Vikings in both team's previous contest last Saturday in Rock Island. Nine different players for the Vikings tallied at least one goal in the game on their way to a 16-5 triumph from inside Anne Greve Lund Natatorium.

All games at Carthage will be live streamed here. Results will be posted to the Augustana athletics website following the conclusion of each game.
