ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team earned their third straight win and moved over .500 in conference play on Wednesday, defeating the visiting Millikin Big Blue by a score of 7-2. The victory moves the Vikings into sole possesion of fourth place in the CCIW.

Leonardo Panosso picked an 8-3 win at No. 1 to go with a pair of 8-4 victories at the other two spots.
In singles, Hermange made it a 2-0 day with a win at No. 1, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-4. The Big Blue took the matches at No. 2 and 3 to give them their two team points, but the rest of the contest went in facor of the Vikings, led by a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win from
Gabriel Luna at No. 6.
Nicolas Navarro also blanked his counterpart in the first set at No. 5, following it up with a 6-2 second set win to complete the win.
Timothee Philip fought back from a first set defeat to win the final two at No. 4.
"Our seniors stepped up on all three doubles courts on senior day to give us a big lead heading into singles," said head coach
David DeSimone. "It was a great team win today."
The Vikings improve to 6-11 overall and 4-3 in the CCIW with the win. The Vikings will await their opponent in the upcoming CCIW Championships set to begin on Thursday, May 5.
