David DeSimone took over as Augustana’s head men’s and women’s tennis coach in August, 2021. DeSimone comes to Augustana off an impressive three-year stint as the head coach for both the men and women at Concordia University in Seward, Neb. He took over the Bulldogs program prior to the 2019 season and authored records of 26-20 for men and 31-16 for women during that time frame. DeSimone grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa and attended Kalamazoo College where he was twice voted the team's Most Valuable Player, was a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, and was a two-time all-conference selection. During the 2016-2017 season, DeSimone coached the Vikings Tennis Teams as an assistant under Jon Miedema. DeSimone currently lives in Bettendorf, Iowa with his wife, Maddy, and children, Luca and Natalia.
