ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team will return home on Saturday, April 16 as they welcome in the No. 21 ranked Chicago Maroons into Thorson-Lucken Field for a CCIW matchup.

The Vikings (4-6, 0-2) were defeated in their most recent outing at North Central by a score of 15-4. The Cardinals posted a big first half, scoring seven in the first and five in the second to pull away for good. Claire Kim got the Vikings on the board in the first quarter, followed by another one from Cassidy Petrie before the half. Kate Hettiger and Petrie accounted for the two second half scores for Augie.

Chicago enters ranked No. 21 and sports a 11-1 overall record and 2-0 mark in conference play. The Maroons have won seven straight since suffering their first and only loss of the season to No. 9 Tufts on March 19, defeating Carroll at home in their most recent contest on Wednesday by a score of 26-5. Chicago has outscored opponents 48-5 in their two CCIW games this season and have three shutout victories on the year.

Augie is 0-2 all-time vs. Chicago. The Maroons defeated the Vikings in Chicago last season by a score of 20-0.
