NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team will remain on the road for their next contest on Wednesday, April 13 when they visit the North Central Cardinals for a conference showdown.

The Vikings are coming off of a 20-5 road defeat to the Illinois Wesleyan Titans this past weekend. The Titans put together two big quarters in the second and fourth, outscoring the Vikings 13-0 in just those two periods. Claire Kim accounted for both of Augie's first half goals, while Kate Hettiger notched all three of her scores in the final 30 minutes of action. The Vikings currently sit 4-5 on the season and 0-1 in CCIW play.

North Central enters Wednesday with a 2-9 overall record and 0-1 in the CCIW following a 19-5 loss to Carthage last Wednesday. The Cardinals are currently in the midst of a five-game losing streak. Both of North Central's wins this season have come by double figures.

Augustana is 9-4 all-time against North Central, but have lost four straight in the series after winning the first nine. In their most recent outing last season, the Cardinals defeated the Vikings 17-10 in Naperville.

Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Live video and live stats will both be available for the contest.
