BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team will step back into CCIW action on Sunday, March 27 when they play in their final regular season road contest of the year against the Illinois Wesleyan Titans.

The Vikings were defeated Friday night in their last outing, a 3-1 loss to St. Ambrose in a non-conference affair. Augie bounced back after dropping two close sets to win the third in convincing fashion, but came up short in the fourth as they split the season series with the Fighting Bees. Aidan Bolen ended his night with a match-high 12 kills. Ben Schultz added seven, while Matthew Degnan tallied 25 assists. 

Illinois Wesleyan enters Sunday with a 7-13 record overall and 2-8 mark in conference play. The Titans broke a five-match losing streak last weekend with a win over Millikin, but fell in their most recent contest on Wednesday to No. 3 Carthage on the road. 

Augustana and Illinois Wesleyan are both mathematically in play for the fourth and final CCIW Tournament spot as the Vikings sit a game behind North Park and the Titans 1.5 games back. Each team still has North Park remaining on their schedule to close out the year. The Vikings defeated the Titans earlier this season in Rock Island by a score of 3-0 and are 3-0 all-time against IWU.
