3/21/2022 8:13:00 PM

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team will continue their road stretch on Tuesday, March 22 when they head to the Twin Cities to face the Augsburg Auggies for a non-conference matchup.

The Vikings enter Tuesday with a 1-3 record after falling to Concordia-Chicago on the road on Saturday by a score of 13-3. Augustana and CUC played an even game on the scoreboard in the final two quarters, but an 11-1 lead for the Cougars at halftime prevented any sort of comeback threat the rest of the way. Kate Hettiger had two scores for the Vikings in the contest, while Claire Kim had the other.

Augsburg currently sits at 0-7 on the season thus far. The Auggies fell in their most recent out to Puget Sound by a score of 16-3. Augsburg has gone up against one CCIW school this season, defeated by Carroll back on March 6 by a final of 21-4. The Auggies went 5-6 a season ago and were winners of their final three regular season games before dropping the first contest of their conference tournament by a point in overtime.

Augustana is 2-0 all-time versus Augsburg, winning the most recent encounter by a score of 20-1 back during the 2016 season. The Vikings also defeated the Auggies the previous season 21-5.

Start time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Both live video and live stats will be available for the game here.
