ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana men's lacrosse (3-2) is seeking their fourth-consecutive win this weekend with another non-conference home contest. The Vikings will host Marian University of Wisconsin on Saturday, Mar. 19 at 1:00 P.M.
 
Marian enters the weekend with a 1-4 overall record in the early stages of the 2022 season. The Sabres lost their first four games of the year before finally finding the win column. In their most recent game, Marian took down North Central (Minn.) in blowout fashion, defeating the Rams 23-1.
 
Senior Nick Klotz leads the Sabres with 36 total points this season, 20 more than the second-best offensive player. Klotz has team-highs in goals (18), assists (18), and ground balls (19). Other key goal scorers for Marian include seniors Finn Maloney and Garrett Houlihan, and freshman Cole Hales-Main.
 
The Sabres have featured three goalkeepers so far this season. Richard Summers III and Erik Horman have been the primary goalies with three starts and two starts, respectively. Summers has allowed 34 goals while saving 25 other shots while Horman has 31 goals allowed and 31 saves.
 
Marian and Augustana have faced off once before. The Sabres defeated Augustana in Fond du Lac, Wis. By a 23-10 score.
