Box Score LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team was defeated on the road on Sunday, falling at nationally-ranked UW-Whitewater by a score of 9-0.

The Warhawks went up 3-0 following a sweep in doubles, but worked hard to get their third victory as Justin Cassens and Deepak Vayara battled tough to an 8-6 defeat. Whitewater took the No. 1 match 8-3 and No. 2 by a final sof 8-1.

At No. 1 singles, Arthur Hermange bounced back from a set one loss to force a third following a 6-4 set two victory. He eventually fell in the deciding set by a score of 1-0 (5). Gabriel Luna was narrowly defeated in set two at No. 6, falling 7-5.

"We had some close matches and had a lot of great moments," said head coach David DeSimone.

The Vikings are back in action on Monday, March 21 against Carleton.
