Box Score LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team was defeated in a non-conference road match on Saturday, falling to the No. 33 ranked UW-Whitewater Warhawks by a score of 9-0. Whitewater entered Saturday ranked in the latest ITA top 40 poll.

The Warhawks took a 3-0 lead into singles following a sweep in doubles. The No. 3 tandem of Michaela Magee and Mia Reese battled tough for the Vikings, but fell 8-4.

In singles, Whitewater grabbed all six matches to complete the 9-0 victory. Lauren Oda put up a valiant effort in the No. 4 spot, but was narrowly defeated by a score of 6-4, 7-0.

"We played and competed well overall," said head coach David DeSimone. "From last match to today, there was great improvement. Lauren played an excellent singles match today and we are excited about the opportunities to continue growing."
