DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team will head to Loras College on February 5-6 for a two-day invitational as they gear up to face four opponents over the course of the weekend. Augie will take on Edgewood and Fontbonne on Saturday before facing Adrian and Marian on Sunday.

The Vikings picked up their first win in their first road match of the season on Tuesday, defeating the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees by a score of 3-1. The Vikings had a strong offensive showing that was spearheaded by Aidan Bolen's 18 kills and .314 hitting percentage. Teammate Aiden Bond was right behind him with 16 kills and a hitting percentage of .313. Matthew Degnan added seven kills, but also posted his second 40-plus assist showing of the season. Augie earned wins in the first, third, and fourth sets to defeat St. Ambrose for the first-time ever in their short history.

On Saturday, the Vikings begin the weekend facing the Edgewood Eagles at 10:00 a.m. Edgewood enters the match with an 0-2 record this season following losses to Cardinal Stritch and fellow CCIW opponent North Park. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Vikings and Eagles.

In the second match of the day, Augie squares off with Fontbonne for the first of two times in six days against them. The Griffins began the season ranked No. 15 in the AVCA preseason poll and are receiving votes in the latest edition. Fontbonne currently sits at 2-0 on the season following a pair of sweeps. The Vikings and Griffins have played every season in Augustana's short program history, with the Vikings winning every match. This will be the fifth meeting all-time between the two. Start time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

Augie begins the second day of the invitational against the Bulldogs of Adrian, who enter the weekend with a 3-6 record. The Bulldogs were defeated earlier this season 3-0 by Marian, the Vikings' final opponent of the weekend. This will be the third-ever meeting between the two, with Adrian victorious in both of the previous encounters. Start time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Shortly after, the Vikings will close out their stay in Dubuque against the Marian Sabres, who currently boast a perfect 8-0 record so far this year. The Sabres have earned a sweep in six of their eight matches this season. This wil be the first-ever meeting between Augustana and Marian. Start time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

The Vikings will play all four matches this weekend on court two and will be the home team each time out. All information regarding the invite, including live stream and live stat links, can be found on the tournament home page.
