NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Dan Carr of Augustana men's basketball has been named CCIW First-Team All-Conference, the league announced Tuesday morning.
The junior center from Highlands Ranch, Colo. started all 25 regular season games for the Vikings this year and led the team in points, rebounds, field goals made, free throw percentage, and blocks. His 13.4 rebounding average is good for top of the conference, also ranking sixth in the nation in that category and third in total rebounds collected at 336. He also sits in 11th in the CCIW in scoring at 14.3 points per contest and third in both free throw percentage (79.8) and total blocks (22).
In 25 games this season, Carr has notched 17 double doubles, good for sixth-most in the nation, and grabbed double-digit boards in 19 contests. He has two 20-rebound performances this year, including a 20/20 effort in which he tallied 26 points and 24 rebounds in a road win over Carthage. The 24 rebounds are tied for fourth all-time in Augustana history and the most since 1981.
