NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Daniel Carr of Augustana Vikings men's basketball has been named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

The senior from Highlands Ranch, Colo. averaged a double-double through the team's first two games, including a 32-point, 16-rebound performance against UW-Whitewater in the season opener. Carr hit 11-16 shots, including five threes, in the tightly-contested game versus the Warhawks, with the 32 points a career best. He then followed it up with an 18-point, 11-rebound effort in the Vikings' road victory over St. Mary's (Minn.).

He is averaging 25 points on 69 percent shooting to go with 13.5 rebounds per contest. The preseason D3Hoops.com All-American is also knocking down 62.5 percent of his attempts behind the arc and has a 9-11 showing from the free throw line.
