ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's soccer team will host the North Central Cardinals in their regular-season finale on Wednesday, October 26.

Augie comes in sporting a 9-5-3 overall record and 3-2-2 mark in the CCIW. The team recently clinched a spot in the upcoming conference tournament following a scoreless draw with Carroll last Saturday. Both teams had chances throughout the game to secure the first and only goal, but neither could send one in as the two teams ended in a 0-0 tie. Janey Castoe snagged seven saves to lead the Augustana defense. The Vikings' current unbeaten streak stands at four games.

North Central enters Wednesday with an 11-1-4 overall record and have yet to lose a game in the CCIW, boasting a 4-0-3 mark. The Cardinals have been ranked for a majority of the 2022 season, but recently dropped out of the top 25 and are currently receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. North Central went 1-0-1 last week, playing to a 1-1 draw with Millikin before knocking off CCIW regular-season champion Illinois Wesleyan by a score of 3-2.

The Vikings are 21-5-1 all-time against the Cardinals, but have dropped four of the last five meetings, including last year's 2-1 defeat on the road. Augie won the last encounter in Rock Island back in 2018, a 3-0 victory for the Vikings.
