CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings football team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, October 22 as they visit North Park to take on their Viking counterpart.

Augustana enters with a 3-3 overall record and 2-3 mark in the CCIW. The team is coming off of a 49-28 homecoming loss to No. 24 Washington-St. Louis last Saturday. The Vikings charged back from a 21-7 opening-quarter deficit to eventually tie the Bears in the third quarter at 28. Washington responded with 21 unanswered points to claim the game at that margin and remain undefeated on the season. The Bears out-gained the Vikings 450-366.

Augie quarterback Cole Bhardwaj finished his afternoon with 277 yards on 27-44 throwing to go with his four touchdowns. Tyler Rivelli was the team's top rusher, ending with 97 yards, while Bobby Inserra hauled in nine catches for 97 yards. Ronde Worrels led the defensive efforts for Augustana, racking up nine tackles, while Nick Harper was close behind with eight. Josh Timm snagged an interception for the Viking defense.

North Park currently sits with an 0-6 overall record and 0-5 mark in conference. The Vikings were defeated in their most recent outing, falling to Illinois Wesleyan in a high-scoring affair by a final of 43-34. North Park jumped out to a 20-7 lead after 15 minutes of action and held a six-point advantage at halftime. Illinois Wesleyan scored 22 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to complete the come-from-behind victory. North Park finished with 393 yards to Illinois Wesleyan's 342, the first time the Vikings have out-gained an opponent this season.

Augustana ranks third in the CCIW in scoring offense and fourth in scoring defense, while North Park sits eighth and seventh in those categories, respectively. Both teams boast a top-three passing defense in the conference.

Augie holds a 55-4 advantage in their all-time series with North Park, including three straight. Augustana won last season's meeting in Rock Island by a final of 17-14.
