ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana men's soccer team will play their final home game of the year at Thorson-Lucken Field on Wednesday, October 19 when they face conference foe Wheaton. 

Augie was defeated by UW-Whitewater 2-1 in Saturday's senior night affair, dropping to a 0-11-2 record this season. The Vikings mustered 15 shots in the contest, connecting with the back of the net once off of the foot of Daniele Meloni. There was potential to tie the game late after Meloni again broke away from Warhawk defenders, but missed just right of the crossbars. The Vikings had two goalkeepers contribute Saturday night. Frankie Baio tallied four saves, while Jason Miller grabbed eight of his own in the second half. 

Wheaton enters Wednesday's matchup 5-4-4 on the year, coming off of a tie to Carthage at home in their most recent matchup. Augustana trails Wheaton 2-37-5 in the all-time series, and fell on the road when they last faced the Thunder by a score of 2-0.
