ELMHURST, Ill. -- The Augustana men's soccer team will travel to face the Elmhurst Blue Jays on Wednesday at Langhorst Field, marking the Vikings fifth conference matchup of the season.

Augustana faced the Millikin Big Blue on Saturday, resulting in a draw as the Vikings moved to 0-9-2 on the season. The tie ended in scoreless fashion, as penalties took potential goals off the board for Millikin, while Augie registered 18 total fouls. There were also two yellows issued to both Augie and Millikin in the matchup. Goalkeeper Benjamin Samuelson did his job keeping the Big Blue out of the net, recording five saves and playing the full-/90 minutes against the conference foe. 

Elmhurst possesses a 5-5-2 (1-2-1 CCIW) record in their return home to face Augie. The Blue Jays last matchup came on the road against Wheaton, also ending in a scoreless draw. The Vikings will need to get past keeper Noah Reed to have a chance Wednesday night, as Reed registered a season-high 13 saves for Elmhurst in their draw to Wheaton. 

Augustana holds a 4-12-2 all-time record against Elmhurst, with their last meeting resulting in a 2-0 road loss for the Vikings.
