ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana women's soccer team will look to bounce back from their season-opening loss with another non-conference opportunity. Tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 4, the Panthers of Greenville University will visit Thorson-Lucken Field.
The Vikings currently sit at 0-1 after dropping the season premiere to 16
th-ranked University of Chicago. Saturday's contest will be the first of the year for Greenville, as their previously scheduled opener against Washington University in St. Louis was cancelled.
In their shortened 2021 spring schedule, the Panthers posted a 7-5 record and reached the SLIAC Tournament semifinals before ending their season with a loss.
Augie and Greenville have faced off on one other occasion in recorded history, with the most recent game coming in 2013. The Vikings blanked Greenville 3-0 in the home victory.
