ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana men's soccer team will welcome in the Knox Prairie Fire on Saturday, September 18th at Thorson-Lucken Field to kick off the beginning of three straight games at home.

Outside of 2020, this will mark the fourth consecutive season these teams have faced off, with Knox holding a 3-0 record over Augustana during that span. In their most recent matchup in 2019, the Vikings fell at home to the Prairie Fire by a score of 2-1. Saturday's meeting will be the third home game against Knox for Augustana. The Prairie Fire won the lone battle in Galesburg in the series in 2018 by a score of 2-0.

Knox currently sits at 1-3 on the season, with their most recent contest a 4-0 loss to fellow CCIW team North Park. The Prairie Fire's one win came on September 4th when they defeated Wartburg at home 2-1. Knox is 0-2 on the road in 2021 so far and has been outscored 5-1 in those two games combined.

Augustana is looking to bounce back after falling to the Marian Sabres last Saturday in Fond du Lac by a final score of 3-0. Despite the score discrepancy, the Vikings played near even in shots with the Sabres, seeing a 14-12 differential in favor of Marian in that category. Frankie Baio had seven saves to help keep the Vikings in the game.

Game Coverage vs. Knox Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
