Augustana finished the 2021 season with a 5-10 overall record and a 0-5 mark in the CCIW. Senior defender
Elizabeth Cook (Minooka HS, Joliet, Ill.) was named to the All-CCIW second team and senior goalie
Courtney Veitch (Lake Zurich HS, Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) set three Viking career records.
Cook won Augustana's Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row. She shared the team lead with 11 caused turnovers and her 23 ground balls ranked fifth.
Veitch—the team's Heart/Hustle Award winner—played all 900 minutes in goal, finishing with a 5-10 record, a .442 save percentage and a goals against average of 11.87. Veitch finished 11th in the nation with 141 saves and is the Viking career record holder in saves (364), saves per game (9.33) and ground balls per game (2.60).
Senior
Sandra Pielechaty (Taft HS, Chicago, Ill.)—the team's Offensive Player of the Year—had team highs of 57 points and 32 assists (21st in the nation). She ranked third on the team with 25 goals and tied for second with 40 ground balls. She also controlled 19 draws, third on the team.
Junior
Kathryn Hettiger (Carmel HS, Carmel, Ind.) led Augustana this year with 43 goals and a .606 shooting percentage, was second with 46 draw controls, tied for second with 40 ground balls and third with 10 caused turnovers. She was named CCIW Offensive Player of the Week following a five-goal, two-assist performance in a 19-9 win over Concordia-Wisconsin on April 11.
Junior
Margaret Cecilio (Archbishop Mitty HS, San Jose, Calif.) finished with 49 points on 32 goals and 17 assists. Her 44 ground balls and 92 draw controls led the Vikings and her 11 caused turnovers tied Cook for the team lead.
