ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings football team will welcome in the Elmhurst Bluejays in their final home game of 2021 on Saturday as part of Senior Day where they will recognize 13 members of their team.
Elmhurst currently sits at 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the CCIW. The team holds a three-game losing skid since their lone win of the season came over Millikin back in early October. In their most recent contest, the Bluejays were defeated by No. 6 ranked Wheaton 44-0. The Bluejays were held to just 156 yards of offense and had -8 yards running the ball. Quarterback Nick Eilers threw the ball 38 times, completing 21 of them for 164 yards. Elmhurst is averaging just under 10 points per game this season.
The Vikings have won three straight over the Bluejays, with the most recent a 55-13 home victory back in 2019. Augustana leads the all-time series 56-8-1.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The senior recognition ceremony will begin at approximately 12:40 p.m.
