ROCK ISLAND, Ill -- The Augustana Vikings men's basketball team will return home for a one game on Tuesday, November 23 before heading back out on the road when they welcome in the Illinois College Blueboys in a non-conference contest.

The Vikings are coming off a 1-1 trip in Michigan this past weekend. Augie fell to the Calvin Knights on Friday night by a score of 78-60 before defeating the Alma Scots on Saturday 72-66. Dan Carr led the way for the Vikings in both outings, posting 19 points against the Knights, followed by a 14-point, 15-rebound double double against Alma. The junior finished the three-game week averaging 18 points and just under 13 rebounds per game. Nate Ortiz also average double figures for Augie during their two-day stay Michigan and is currently sitting at 9.8 points per game this season.

Illinois College enters Tuesday's matchup with a 4-2 record after defeating fellow CCIW opponent Millikin in their most recent contest. The Blueboys out-scored the Big Blue by 17 points in the second half en route to their 71-58 victory on the road. Hunter Ottensmeier, who leads the team in scoring, posted a team-high 21 points in the win. The triumph snapped a two-game losing streak for Illinois College after beginning the season 3-0. The Blueboys ended the abbreviated 2020-21 season with a 7-2 record and were 6-19 in their last full season back in 2019-20.

Tuesday's matchup will be the 21st meeting between the two programs, with Augustana leading the all-time series 15-5. The first-ever recorded meeting came back during the 1913-14 season, with the Vikings winning by a score of 36-22. The two teams have not met since 1998, which resulted in a close 81-77 win for Augie.

Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
