CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Augustana women's basketball (3-0) dominated the Kohawks of Coe College (2-1) this afternoon en route to their third win in as many games this season.
The Vikings bounced back from an 18-14 deficit after the first period to outscore Coe 65-42 the rest of the way. The Vikings' 19-point victory was their largest margin of victory this season.
Augustana had three women notch double-figures in scoring led by
Gabriela Loiz' 20 points.
Macy Beinborn poured in 18 points in her most prolific game of the year and
Erin Morrisey chipped in 12.
Lauren Hall was just short of her third double-double with 14 rebounds and just eight points.
Coe was paced by Molly Buck's 21 points. Alyse Southard added 11 for the Kohawks. Kaalyn Petersen grabbed seven rebounds to top the hosts in that category.
As a team, Augustana out-rebounded Coe 41-31 and outshot the Kohawks from three. The Vikings' 40% clip from deep range was a key factor in their route of Coe.
Augie will be back at home for their next contest when they host UW-Whitewater. The 18
th-ranked Warhawks will provide an early test for Augustana on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 P.M.
