ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Viking women's soccer will face another road test in their next game. Tomorrow night, Wednsday, Oct. 6, Augie will travel to North Central for a CCIW match.

The Vikings will attempt to continue their recent momentum after defeating Millikin in their last game. North Central is also coming off a road win at Carthage last weekend.

The Cardinals enter the week with a 7-4-1 overall record and an unblemished mark of 2-0 in league play.

North Central's game plan is centered on sophomore forward Elle Sutter and junior midfielder Kily Egan. Sutter leads NCC in points with 14, followed closely by Egan with 11. Sutter has scored her points by netting a team-high six goals on the season, and also recording two assists. Egan is second on the club with five goals. Despite not having the same scoring numbers, two other Cardinal players are key contributors on offense. Sarah Andrey leads the team with 39 shots, and is tied with Kaitlyn Cannon with 19 on goal.

The Cardinals have also had a good defensive duo in goal. Jordan Boyd has started nine games and has recorded a save percentage of .822 while Riley Lindsey has made five starts with a slightly better save percentage of .833.

Augustana does lead the all-time series with North Central 4-3, but the Cardinals have had more recent success. North Central won the latest match-up 1-0 in the 2019 season.
