ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana women's soccer will close the regular season this weekend with a match against the North Park Vikings. Augie and North Park will face off on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1:00 P.M.

North Park enters the weekend on an 11-game losing streak despite scoring in each of their last four matches. Most recently, North Park was upended by Carroll in a 3-1 defeat. The Vikings' last win came in mid-September when they narrowly edged Lake Forest 1-0.

Despite their lopsided 3-13-1 overall record and winless mark in the NSIC, North Park has a handful of consistently productive players. Clara Wernbo and Agnes Bohlin lead the team in total points with 10 and are second and third on the team, respectively, in shots. Ida Elise Hjelle leads North Park in attempted with 30. Bohlin and Wernbo are also tied with a team-high three goals apiece.

In goal, three North Park players have been featured. Emily LaSalle has been the primary keeper with five starts this season. LaSalle has allowed 21 goals and made 60 saves. Theresa Weiss has started three matches and allowed 16 goals with 31 saves.

The Augie women will not only be playing their final home contest of the season, but will also be playing for a berth in the CCIW tournament. A win for the host Vikings would solidify their position in the top four, but a loss could eliminate them from contention.

Augustana in undefeated against North Park in the all-time series between both Viking squads. Augie currently hold a 6-0-1 advantage over NPU and were victorious in their most recent meeting in 2019.
