ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team will host the UW-Platteville Pioneers on Tuesday, October 19 in a non-conference matchup at Thorson-Lucken Field. It will be senior night for the Vikings as they will recognize eight seniors before the game.
The Pioneers enter Tuesday night's matchup sporting a 10-2-2 record and currently hold a seven-game unbeaten streak. The Pioneers are 1-0 against the CCIW this season, grabbing a 3-1 win over Millikin back in mid-September.
The Vikings are looking to bounce back following a 5-2 loss at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. Augie found themselves in a quick 4-0 hole in the first half, managing to secure two scores from
Sebastian Gabrielson and
Johannes Chammas.
Augustana leads the all-time series 14-7-1 over UW-Platteville and has won the most recent meeting over the Pioneers back in 2019, a 3-1 home victory for the Vikings.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
