Junior Sydney Ion recorded eight
saves in Augustana's 0-0 tie at
Simpson Friday.
INDIANOLA, Iowa – A pair of unbeaten sides that had allowed a total of just three goals all season played to a 0-0 tie Friday. 110 minutes weren't enough decide a winner between Augustana and Simpson at Buxton Stadium. The Vikings moved to 4-0-2 and the host Storm to 4-0-3.
The statistics were as even as the final score would indicate, with Simpson putting eight of 19 shots on goal and Augustana seven of 18. The Storm took eight corners to three for its guests. The Vikings were whistled for three offsides calls and each side committed eight fouls.

Sydney Ion (Aquinas HS, La Crosse, Wis.) and Aspen Brockhouse recorded eight and seven saves, respectively. Brockhouse stopped the final scoring opportunity of the night, turning away a shot by Augustana senior
Lauren Muzzalupo (St. Charles North HS, St. Charles, Ill.) in the 108th minute.
Juniors
Jenna Dvorak (York HS, Elmhurst, Ill.) and
Sandra Camarillo (United Township HS, Silvis, Ill.) each got off three shots for the Vikings. Two of Dvorak's were put on frame.
