The Vikings will be back in action on Saturday, March 30 with a non-conference double header against Wisconsin-Stevens Point beginning at 12:00 noon. Coe 8, Augustana 1 (Game #1)

The Kohawks hit senior starting pitcher Kelcie Fredrickson (Fisher HS, Foosland, Ill.) for five runs in the bottom of the second inning and that proved to be more than enough as the 11th ranked team in NCAA Division III went on to an 8-1 victory. Augustana could manage only six hits off Coe starter Alyssa Olson, who struck out seven and went the distance as she ran her record to 11-1 on the year.

Junior first baseman Brittany Pospishil (Lincoln-Way East HS, Mokena, Ill.) hit a home run in the top of the fifth inning to account for the lone Augustana run.

Coe 10, Augustana 2 (Game #2)

Coe banged out 11 hits against two Augustana pitchers en route to a 10-2 victory that completed the double header sweep. The Kohawks scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the game early.

Augustana freshman Claire Weeks (Dundee-Crown HS, Sleepy Hollow, Ill.) went three for three to lead the Vikings' offensively.
