ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Senior
Christina McCabe (Maine South HS, Park Ridge, Ill.) scored seven goals and classmate
Bailey Aasen (Park HS, Cottage Park, Minn.) added five Saturday, as Augustana jumped in front 6-0 and cruised to a 19-10 win over Concordia (Wis.) at Thorson-Lucken Field. Coach C.J. Holder's squad improved to 2-2 on the season, while the Falcons dropped to 1-3.

Aasen got the Vikings on the board when she scored just seconds in off an assist from freshman
Kathryn Hettiger (Carmel HS, Carmel, Ind.). McCabe's big day started two minutes later when she scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-0.

Margaret Cecilio (Archbishop Mitty HS, San Jose, Calif.), senior
Emily Lucnik (Schaumberg HS, Schaumburg, Ill.) and McCabe all scored within a minute of each other before Aasen's goal at 24:58 of the first half gave the hosts a 6-0 advantage.
Megan McPike got Concordia on the board at the 23:46 mark with the first of her five goals on the day.
McCabe scored twice more and Hettiger added a pair of goals as Augustana led 10-3 at the midway point of the first half. By the 10-minute mark, McCabe had scored a half-dozen goals and the Vikings led 12-5. Aasen tallied two more in the period, including one with 14 seconds left that sent the teams to halftime with Augustana on top 15-5.
McCabe scored her seventh in the first minute of the second half and Lucnik added a goal with 27:55 to play that gave Durham's outfit its biggest lead of the afternoon at 17-5.
McPike scored three more time as the Falcons eventually trimmed the final deficit to nine.
Hettiger finished with a team-high three assists in addition to a pair of goals. McCabe snared a game-high nine ground balls. Senior
Carla Bennett (Marian Catholic HS, South Holland, Ill.) scored twice and controlled a game-high eight draws. Sophomore
Courtney Veitch (Lake Zurich HS, Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) recorded six saves in goal.
On Saturday, March 23, the Vikings host Wisconsin-River Falls. First draw at Thorson-Lucken Field is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
