Ryan Kairis (Marist HS, Chicago, Ill.) each had two hits and two runs scored and sophomore

Haskins's RBI double keyed a two-run Augustana first and the Vikings added a pair in the second. Junior
Nick Mosele (University HS, Bloomington, Ill.) had a leadoff single and eventually scored on a Cavalier error. Kairis' RBI grounder made it 4-0 Augustana after an inning and a half.
Haskins' two-run double keyed a five-run outburst in the fourth. The first run scored on a bases-loaded walk to junior
Mike Avella (Crystal Lake South HS, Crystal Lake, Ill.). Haskins' two-bagger knocked in Kairis and Amundsen, who had both singled. Huber added run-scoring single and John Moraksi
(Kewanee HS, Kewanee, Ill.) an RBI fielder's choice in the frame.
Moraski drew a leadoff walk in the top of the sixth and scored Augustana's final run.
Viking starter
Chris Refka (Palatine HS, Palatine, Ill.) cruised through the first six innings before Shaun Stackhouse touched him for a two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the seventh. Freshman
Josh Chamberlain (Legacy HS, Thornton, Colo.) came out of the pen to get the final out.
Refka scattered eight hits, walked one and fanned five in 6 2/3 innings. He got the win to improve to 2-0 on the season. Cabrini starter Ray Lutick lasted three innings and suffered the loss.
CABRINI 6, AUGUSTANA 5
Augustana led 5-2 going to the final inning of game two. Senior

Mike Powers (Benet Academy, Westmont, Ill.) in the top of the first, Augustana tied it with two in the fourth and jumped in front with three in the fifth. The Vikings' first run came when Huber was hit by a Jake Dohar pitch with the bases loaded and a Moraski sacrifice fly plated the tying run. In the fifth, Avella's RBI single put Augustana on top and Haskins' sacrifice fly delivered another run.
Huyette threw the last 3 2/3 innings to pick up the win. Gates (0-1) took the loss.
