Four different players scored as the hosts took an 8-3 lead out of the gate, but the Vikings got conventional three-point plays from Anderson and sophomore

Alexis Jones' (Marist HS, Chicago, Ill.) layup at the 7:35 mark of the second period, but five different Lynx scored in an 11-5 run that trimmed their deficit to one (28-27) two minutes before halftime. Anderson again beat the buzzer with a bucket that sent the teams to intermission with the Vikings on top 30-27.

Clare Kramer's (Prophetstown HS, Lyndon, Ill.) three-pointer with four seconds left put Beinborn's bunch up 49-43 heading to the fourth.
